Dear Sherri:
As
you know, we are the proud owners of a fine, healthy young
Catahoula/Bulldog Puppy. His name is "TRAMP" and he is absolutely a
perfect specimen and a top-notch representative of his breed.
Our
love of this breed started out about 11 years ago quite by accident. A
friend of Amys found a tattered and scared young puppy running along a
rural road. She stopped, picked him up and went on to get him to a
vet, where he was nursed back to perfect health after
suffering,
who knows how long, at the cruel hands of his former owner. She
introduced this beautiful fellow to us and we adopted him into our
family. That was more than 11 years ago, and "Hooch" has now earned
the reputation from all who have come in contact with this stunning
animal as one of the best behaved and smartest dogs with whom they have
come in contact.
After years of research, much searching
and too many quarries to relate, we found that we had stumbled onto a
Catahoula-American Bulldog that we later found was an actual breed.
The first time that we even knew that this breed existed.
Well,
the short of his story is that he is now around 11 or 12 years old and
has never had a sick day in his life. He is one of the loves of our
lives and now as he is getting up in dog-years, we decided that we
wanted to bring another of this very special breed into our lives. We
are anxious for him to mix with Hooch and maybe take on some of his
traits and attributes as he grows into his life as full grown
Cat-Bull.
Amy found you by searching the net, and was
happy to find that you were located about 5 hours to the North of our
home. After researching your Kennels and chatting with you via the
inter-net and on the the phone, we decided that we wanted to work with
you to obtain our own baby Cat-Bull.
On 05-12-2011 your
Delta and Frankie produced a liter of eight male puppies. We were
delighted, and decided it was time to make the 10 hour round trip to
your facilities to really check it out and determine if we bonded with
ANY of the offspring.
We must say that we were most happy
with what we encountered when we arrived. Knowing the background of
the Catahoua and the American Bulldog, we were happy to see that you
had succeeded in creating outside kennels that allow for the grown
breeders to be able to sustain themselves in an environment that is
natural to them.
At the same time they were receiving
very specialized care and nurturing that they need to remain very
people orientated while they live their very normal lives with people
and each other in a very natural way. Even though the kennels are
outside, we were impressed
with the cleanliness and safe housing of the dogs.
Then,
when we entered your inside housing facilities, where you keep the
newborns, again we were amazed at the lengths you went to in order to
insure that the sanitary needs of the puppies were also delivered in
such a loving way.
Well as you know, within minutes, Amy
had set her sights on one gorgeous little fellow , (we just had to wait
and see if we got him and we did! )who has since become known via his
registered name as "Deltas Blue Crane Tamp". Commonly known as simply
"TRAMP".
A few weeks later, we returned, when the
necessary waiting time for the little fellows to reach the legal
departure date, and again made the 10 hour trip to start an exciting
new life with our newest family member.
Today marks the
first week in Tramp's life with his new family! We are pleased to
report that he is doing extremely well. He has had his first Vet.
check and all the tests have been done and the results are in. His
Dr. has given him a complete and excellent bill of health, and because
of the entire Vet. Clinic already knowing and loving Hooch so much...
our new Cat-Bull has big paw-prints to fill! He got a good start by
loving everyone he came in contact with...they are all believer in this
smart and strong breed.
He takes quickly to most new
directions, entertains himself, of course we have supplied him with
toys needed (which is our end of the agreement), eats like a horse,
drinks plenty of water (very important here in the very-hot Florida
sun), sleeps all night (like a baby should), as well as taking his
share of daytime naps. Every day he shows improvement in the potty
learning process... but with his intelligence, that will not take very
long.
He is a beautiful little guy and you are to be
commended for your diligence in making sure that Delta (Tramps Mother)
was in great shape as a mother. It shows in the physical development
of the little guy in every action that he takes and the beauty of his
coat. His bone structure is superb, I think we can thank his
incredible father for that. Sherri, YOU DO PRODUCE SOME GREAT FAMILY
PUPPIES! YOU ARE TO BE CONGRATULATED FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN THIS FIELD
OF YOUR LIFE WORK!!! Amy's research has certainly paid off with the
selection of you and your kennel. I know that you will keep up you
great work!!!
Well, you have done your part, now it is up
to us to continue what you have started. Of course, our job is made
easier when you have given us the best to start with. We are starting
with a beautiful, healthy, amazing baby puppy, who is ripe for molding
into an even smarter and superior, strong, happy family member who will
be at ease around other animals, children and all other situations.
Thanks
for giving us this wonderful and amazing little gift of life, who
will, we are sure, give as much love as he receives in his special
life!
Bringing special little guys like Tramp into this
world is a special gift that only a few will ever experience! Cherish
the gift you have been given, and continue to be as selective as you
now are in dispersing then into our society.
Your Life Time Friends,
Dave & Amy Williams

PS: We will send you updates and pictures as Tramp matures and grows into a full size Catahoula-Bulldog!
He will make you proud!!!

some
new pics of pais were added. Thought you might like them. She is so
easy to train. Taught her to sit in 3 days. Lay down 20 mins. She is now
getting me beers. no joke. She cant open the fridge yet, but if i put a
beer where she can get it, and ask her to get it for me, she does it.
Making jack and cokes is next :)
